Cycling's Greatest Misadventures

Lance Armstrong (right foreground) crashes during the finish of the 15th stage of the 2003 Tour de France. His handlebars snagged on a mussette bag held by a young boy, causing both him and Iban Mayo (behind Armstrong) to go down. Jan Ullrich (behind the other two riders) skows and waits for Armstrong, the overall Tour Leader, to remount and continue riding. Armstrong immediatley got back on his bike and with a rush of adrenalin rode to win the stage, increasing his lead to 1:07. Photo: TdeF/ PhotoSport International.
